Build a Home at Haskatasun
Reaching our goal of $1,090,000 will allow us to start our phase one campus plan with expanded classrooms and facilities, and continue to inspire ethical thinkers through the best in class Waldorf education and community building programming.
Forty acres of eastside pine and sage, Haskatasun is nestled above Prosser Creek. Traveled over time by ice and rock, the summertime Washoe, Basque sheepherders, and trails of migratory deer, we are not the first people to cross these lands, and we may not be the last. We hope to learn as much from this swath of land that the others that have crossed through, and care for it so that other may do the same.
At Haskatasun we cultivate Purpose, Meaning & Direction through our Waldorf Inspired Learning Center, and our Wild Spaces afternoon & Summer programming. It is also the backdrop for our Community Events and Festivals. Our vision is to renew this land and allow the community to breath in the rhythm of its wisdom.
We have spent the past 2.5 years letting this precious piece of earth speak to its purpose. With careful thought, diligent planning and imaginative visioning we have come to a clear picture of what the future will hold for this land and for this community.

Our promise is to ignite ethical thinkers. We do this by encouraging people of all ages to find strength and confidence within themselves, faith in those around them and beauty in the greater world. The fabric of our world is woven by the interactions of nature, families, and communities. We believe that through the exploration of ourselves, the natural world, and action within our local community, we begin to understand the larger world. We believe that by spreading ethical thinking, strength, beauty and faith in the individual, we bring trust, beauty and cooperation to the world. By providing and supporting developmentally appropriate curriculum we strengthen the thinking, feeling and willing of each individual. This will send our community forth with faith in themselves and the deep internal belief that they CAN be the change they want to see in the world.
Thank you for your support in helping us build this community and this homestead.
