Support Camp Mendocino
Since 1931, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco has owned and operated Camp Mendocino: an outdoor education and environmental awareness program focused on the character and leadership development of youth from disadvantaged circumstances. Camp is located on 2,000 acres in a beautiful redwood forest three and a half hours north of San Francisco. Throughout the summer, more than 1,000 youth ages eight to 18 attend Camp. Around the clock, our campers are surrounded and supported by positive role models to provide the love and encouragement they need to learn, grow, and succeed, both at Camp and back at home. While Camp programs are unique from those offered at BGCSF’s eight Clubhouses and four School-based Clubs in San Francisco, the experience at Camp furthers the organization’s core mission: to enable and inspire all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
