Being a part of the Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania as the Vice President of Finance & Administration, I have been surrounded by incredible people all working toward one mission!! I truly feel great about what I do each day. Each Leadership meeting starts with a story of success, showcasing the individuals that we serve the most. I would be happy to share each story and memorable moment with each of you. Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania is an impactful organization that is extremely important in the lives of the 3,000 individuals - and their families. The early intervention; physical, speech and occupational therapy; camps; community supports; and vocational preparation are just some of the programs that are essential to improving the quality of life for those less fortunate than we are. Every contribution, whatever the size, helps keep these programs and assistance available to infants through young adults with disabilities. Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania creates life-changing solutions for individuals with disabilities and their families in their community by increasing independence, maximizing opportunities, minimizing barriers and enhancing quality of life.
Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania serves more than 3,000 children and adults with disabilities - and their families - throughout the Lehigh Valley, Berks County, the Poconos and surrounding region.
Our innovative and inclusive services include:
- Early intervention
- Make the First Five Count - child development resources
- Outpatient therapy (speech, occupational and physical)
- Specialty medical clinics (neurology, orthopedic and orthotic)
- Therapeutic groups
- Autism diagnostic clinic
- ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy training for parents of children with autism
- LEAP - employment experience for high school students
- Community supports/habilitation - personalized support for young adults and adults
- Summer camp and recreation
- Respite
Antonio has cerebral palsy, which makes it difficult for him to move his arms and legs, but what everyone notices first about him is his charming smile and laugh. He is simply full of joy and determination. Over the past two years, he has benefitted from a variety of programs at Easterseals, including outpatient therapy, neurology and orthopedic clinics, and the equipment loan program.
