Connecting community partners and citizens for enhanced quality of life. Guiding solutions for progressive actions with purposed civic engagement. We must see ourselves as leaders and adopt leadership roles in order to make a difference and stand out!

Our Mission

Focusing, engaging, and tackling topics that effect our communities. GCC is an umbrella advocacy group. Our purpose and focus is to develop talented individuals to help them be the best that they can be. It is more than just a notion. By nature, we tend to want to live in our silos and be territorial even. At GCC we believe THAT is our problem. There is far more strength in a clenched fist than an open palm. TOGETHERNESS is important. We must come together to experience true growth as a community.

Building Trust through:

•Forward thinking about our LEGACY

•IMPACT young people and encourage them not to make the same mistakes we as elders have made in the past

•ORGANIZE our regional area to find out how to get black Americans in the same boat, and how to function not as satellites but figure out ways to trust each other and build togetherness

Our Founders:

In Memory of Michael Dorsey who provided the space for our meetings and this doubled as our office space and community room. He was a community activist. One of the smartest things Mr. Pendergrass did was to invite Michael Dorsey to be a part of our mission. Michael Dorsey was one of our founders responsible for all of our financials. His legacy will live on through our organization!

Steve Raisen is a community activist who is also an airline pilot. He has flown for the US Navy as well as local airlines for 20+ years. He is a strong, outgoing personality who also ran for Mayor of the city of Smyrna, Georgia in 2020.

Rev. Coakley Pendergrass is responsible for overall community outreach. He is the face of our organization and makes sure that we stay afloat month after month.
