Support L88 and Fly Cuyama!

The Cuyama Valley's beloved L88 airstrip is managed and maintained by Blue Sky Center, a community nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen our Cuyama Valley communities by supporting entrepreneurs and building our creative and economic resources. As a community center with entrepreneurship at its core, we have worked diligently to create accessible and engaging facilities that house small business incubation, hospitality accommodations, and a resource development center.

Our airstrip is critical to emergency support for Cuyama communities. It also serves as a portal for flying visitors to experience all the Cuyama Valley has to offer. Even for pilots-in-training, our airport has gained widespread appeal as a go-to airport for computer simulator training!

We officially reopened this historic airstrip in Fall 2022 through a generous one time investment as well as many small donations and volunteer support from a dedicated group of L88 ambassadors. We need your support to continue to expand the offerings and experiences for both pilots and our community to enjoy our small town airstrip.

Help us improve safety and security for L88 pilots! If we can raise $15,000, we can gate in our parking area, improve tie downs, and ensure our ramps are safe and secure by separating pedestrian and auto traffic from L88 parking area.

Let's create a fly-in destination for the Cuyama Valley! With $25,000 in addition to improving safety and security, we will be able to install a variety of under-wing campsite experiences for pilots interesting in exploring our Hidden Valley of Enchantment.
