Your $25 donation will provide our campers with 5 new Friends of the PMBL Basketballs. The last day of camp many campers ask us to give them a ball so they can practice and we never have enough! Donate so each camper can take home their own ball!!

Your $50 donation outfits one camper in a full Friends of the PMBL Basketball Kit which includes brand new shorts, jersey, socks, and shirt.

Your $100 donation will feed one camper for the entire week. Campers are served 3 hot meals per day with water or sports drink.

Your $250 donation will sponsor 1 camper (includes 3 meals a day, transportation via bus, and a full kit - brand-new sneakers, socks, shorts, jersey, t-shirts, water bottle, and bag)

Your $500 donation will sponsor 2 brand-new basketball hoops that campers can use all year!

Your $1,000 donation will sponsor 2 buses for the week so that campers from all over Jamaica can attend camp!

Friends of the PMBL

In the wake of Hurricane Beryl's devastation, our 2024 basketball camp focused on rebuilding the sports park and offering a condensed program. Due to infrastructure damage, many children were unable to attend. Accordingly, the 11th Annual PMBL Camp in 2025 will be our most significant effort yet. We are planning to host over 2,000 children from all over Jamaica! More than a basketball experience, this camp will help children rebuild confidence, develop skills, and strengthen community resilience. By supporting our initiative, donors will directly invest in healing and renewal, providing local children a transformative opportunity to build confidence, forge community bonds, and create lasting, positive memories in a space that symbolizes hope. 

As many of you know, the vibrant community of Treasure Beach was severely impacted by Hurricane Beryl. The storm caused widespread devastation, including the complete destruction of the beloved local sports park. While we are grateful that our friends and family are safe, the road to recovery will be long and challenging. This year, the PMBL family is committed to supporting the community’s rebuilding efforts. We aim to travel to Treasure Beach to assist in restoring the sports park and hosting a scaled-down version of our basketball camp for the local children. Your generous donation will help us provide a glimmer of hope and normalcy to a community in need.

Founded in Philadelphia, PA by a few people who love the game, PMBL Camps is an organization dedicated to changing as many lives across as many communities as we possibly can. Sports has the power to fundamentally change a child’s belief in what is possible. Our mission is to serve as a platform that will help each and every camper believe in themselves and realize the tremendous power they possess to chase their dreams. In 2012, we started our first  camp in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. That camp has grown from a few local kids coming to learn the game of basketball to today where we actively work with over 1,000 kids from all across Jamaica! #OneTeamOneDream 

Basketball is the centerpiece of each camp. Each day begins at 8AM and consists of two sessions. The morning session begins with a complimentary breakfast followed by registration and the campers being divided into two divisions based on age and skill. The remainder of the morning session consists of specific drills focused on basketball fundamentals and other activities including yoga & self-defense.  The morning concludes with campers eating lunch together under the shade of the trees. 

The evening session consists of using the skills learned in the morning session to play competitive games. At the end of the evening sessions campers are served dinner before going home to rest up for the next day of camp!

We are also in the process of incorporating computer literacy & trade skills into the program.
