Reaching our goal will help pay our basic expenses and enable staff to continue to build new infrastructure for programming that will help us stay safe and connected, prepare us for the future, and accommodate us as we emerge from this challenge.

The 418 Project

We have been on quite a journey since we “compassionately” closed our doors. 

Soon after the county was instructed to self-isolate, we became keenly aware of how 

connection and community meets some of our basic human needs.

 While the notion of adapting to a new way of operating our studio was initially daunting, we found ourselves collectively Rising to the Challenge of figuring out how to respond and move forward. 

Thanks to the encouragement of some of our committed facilitators, the deeply focused collaboration and dedication of our board and staff, and the innovative minds of our tech savvy community members, 

we have proven that connecting on a virtual level is possible

We have successfully created an online platform in which we can stream classes, dances, and workshops LIVE from our studio! 

In the face of great uncertainty, we see some great opportunities. 

Through our virtual offerings, we are continuing to foster emotional, spiritual, and physical growth, invite opportunities for creative and self- expression, and maintain channels for community and belonging.

Now we are asking you to Rise to the Challenge with us!

The 418 Project is launching a $32,000 Community Care Challenge and we are asking you to help now by donating.  Our Board of Directors rose to the challenge by generously kicking it off for us. These critical funds will help pay our non-profit’s most basic expenses, such as rent, maintenance and staff support. But there is more...

We are seeing this as a time of great uncertainty and great opportunity. 

Your financial contribution will enable staff to keep doing what they are doing now as well as prepare us for the future.

With this funding, we can continue to explore new programming in this environment. Furthermore, your contribution will make sure we are there for you when Shelter-in-Place restrictions are lifted and we can dance together again!
