Your gift of $500 will provide background checks, training and orientation for 25 youth development professionals (tutors, mentors and coaches).

Your gift of $1,500 will pay for all costs associated with one child participating in Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston's in-person daily programming for one year (child's family only pays $5/year).

Your gift of $2,500 will provide virtual programming, focused on topics such as STEM, the arts, literacy, fitness and more, to Club members for one month.

Your gift of $5,000 will provide a year of college preparation, workforce development and tutoring for 25 Club kids.

Welcome to Rise & Shine with Boys & Girls Clubs!  Due to COVID-19, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston (BGCGH) is unable to hold its annual breakfast previously scheduled for August 20th. The safety of our staff, kids and donors continue to be our number one priority.  While the event may look and feel different, the need has not changed. Please join us virtually to learn more about the mission and vision of BGCGH, and support the organization with a gift that is meaningful to you. About Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston

For more than 50 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston has provided a safe, affordable place for kids and teens during critical out-of-school time in 23 Clubs across the Greater Houston area. We know it takes an army of people to serve the more than 26,000 youth with high quality programming and unique experiences. While we have seen tremendous growth and success, there is still more work to be done as we continue to increase the number of youth we serve. We have a bold plan to relentlessly provide young people with the guidance to be innovative, brave and confident. At BGCGH we never take a single approach when it comes to kids. We do whatever it takes to build great futures.

For nearly five months, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston has continued to monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19. It has brought uncertainty and disruption to the communities we serve, but Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston’s (BGCGH) top priority has not changed: the health and safety of the children we serve. 

In accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and public health officials, on March 13th we temporarily suspended our traditional in-person services. However, throughout the following months we continued to provide services to our community in the following ways:

We have a responsibility and commitment to our more than 26,000 kids, teens, families, and staff to ensure that we continue to help meet needs over the coming weeks, months, and beyond. 

We also know that the need for a safe environment for the youth in our community is great. With this need in mind and with guidance from the CDC and local officials, in June BGCGH opened to provide in-person services at 13 Clubs, currently operating at 25% capacity, and virtual programming at all Club locations. We also remain committed to the continuation of our direct assistance efforts. We continue to check-in with our families to determine their needs and those of their entire family. Through our programs, we will work to address the learning loss associated with virtual school, help our youth de-stress, and be a consistent resource for our community and families.

While COVID-19 may have changed our service delivery model with a hybrid of in-person programming and virtual experiences, the need has not changed and they are still great. Now is not the time to slowdown the pace of the positive impact we have on kids. Childhood does not stand still waiting for opportunity. Childhood is perishable and we must provide enriching experiences in a safe environment right now - every day.
