Keep MOVE alive!
MOVE Inclusive Dance opened it's doors for business in September 2019. In the months since, our studio has become a safe space for many. Most of our students and volunteers claim that their time with us is by far the best part of their week!
Unfortunately, like so many others, COVID-19 has put us in a financial crisis. Not only have we had to temporarily close our doors for business, but we had to postpone our in-person fundraiser event that was scheduled for April 30. To make it to the other side of this, we need you now more than ever. Will you help us keep MOVE alive for our dancers and their families?
Meet, Sayde! She is 16 years old and takes our Saturday Groovy Moves class each week. Here's what she has to say about her experience with us:
I've loved to dance since I was five years old. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a dance studio that was for people in wheelchairs like myself. Until one day, I came across MOVE Inclusive Dance on Facebook. I immediately knew that was the place I wanted to be! In class, I feel energized and included. I feel like I am at a place where I belong. MOVE Inclusive Dance is special to me because I get to be around other people like me! It makes me feel like a normal teenager. It also gives my parents time with each other without having to worry about me or where I am. It's truly my favorite part of the week!
Sayde isn't the only one who feels this way. So many others need MOVE in their life, too!
We may not be able to gather in person, but we can have a virtual event! So that's what we are going to do. On April 30th at 6:30pm CT, we are going to live stream right into your living room! There will be dancing, special guests, and more! Grab a bottle of wine and get ready to make a difference right from your couch.
