Figma Virtual Design Crash Course
Help us make a difference in the lives of children with life-limiting diagnoses.
Our goal is to raise funds for George Marks Children's House which has been affected by this pandemic. However, in light of the recent injustice events, we also encourage you to support causes that support equality and fight for peace. Our donation amount of $50 to attend the event is only a recommendation though we would suggest a minimum donation of $30. We hope by making this donation and participation in the event more flexible, that you will consider also donating to organizations supporting POC.
For 8 years the Salesforce Treasury and Finance Department has supported George Mark Children's House (GMCH). George Mark is designed to allow a family to just be a family, by providing support at one of the most difficult times in a family’s life. Day after day, George Mark provides life-affirming and transformative care to children and families coping with life-limiting illnesses.
This is an uncertain time for everyone and, for GMCH, the financial impact of COVID-19 is very challenging. We invite you to join us for a fun and educational virtual design crash course to support this Bay Area treasure.
About Figma and the Design Course
In this virtual event, learn the ins and outs of design application Figma, a program that Salesforce offers to employees for free! Participating in the event will allow you to build your knowledge on design thinking principles and technical skills within Figma. By the end of the session, you will have your own project to showcase! All design levels are encouraged to join. Note: Non-Salesforce employees are also welcome to join! Figma has a free tier that will be compatible with the tutorial.
The event is hosted by Change & Enablement summer intern Brandon Kay, but will be run by Adobe designer Ashton Tu. Ashton is an incoming senior at the University of Southern California and has led previous design tutorials to all levels of designers. We hope you'll join us!
