Building Hope South Florida
Join Building Hope South Florida, founded by Carolyn Roy, Breda Kellner, and Julie McMahon, to provide support for COVID Response Fund including meals, virtual programming and distance mentoring.
Building Hope South Florida is driven by a single goal; to do our part in making our community a better place in times of need. This initiative was Founded by Carolyn Roy, Breda Kellner, and Julie McMahon, as a way to utilize their vast resources to support our mission.
Today, we are all affected by COVID-19. Initially we found a need to help the front line in this pandemic, our healthcare workers serving the critically ill in our community. In support of them and to make their days a little brighter, we collected donations to bring meals from local restaurants to hospitals to feed the doctors, nurses and staff. We are proud to say that 100% of the donations provided by YOU went to the purchase of meals!
Our focus has now shifted to the families devastated by the loss of income associated with COVID – 19. We are happy partner with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County on this initiative and all donations go directly to them. The Club is serving prepared meals to vulnerable families in our community seven nights a week. To date, they have served over 40,000 meals and their continues to be a need for this essential service. Your donations will be used to not only feed our families but to support local food service establishments who are preparing these meals.
