OUR VISION

Chocolate Milk Café aims to be the leading support and resource for breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bodyfeeding and Human Milk consumption in the Black community.

We aim to support and encourage the increase in Black professionals in the field of Lactation and Human Milk Advocates, and identify potential Chocolate Milk Café Facilitators and mentor them.

We promote Lactation education and access to Lactation support for Black families.

We seek to restore the legacy of breastfeeding and the consumption of Human Milk as normal and its positive long term implications for the Black/African American community.

Chocolate Milk Café will participate in policy changes at the state and national levels for the promotion of breastfeeding especially for the Black community

Chocolate Milk Café is a family centered, inclusive space for people of the African Diaspora seeking to provide Human Milk to their families.

We collaborate and connect Black families with resources that align with the normalization of breastfeeding and Human Milk consumption.

We seek to assist members of our community with increasing the rates of breastfeeding initiation and duration. Our sacred environment fosters opportunities for our attendees to share their challenges while receiving the support of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) or Certified Lactation Counselors (CLC).

What Milk Money Can Do...

CMC is planning a retreat to Uzazi Village in 2022. This retreat will give our facilitators an opportunity to gather, share, but most importantly... REST.

The donations for this campaign will be a direct investment in Black Centered Rest.

Each facilitator is responsible for fundraising to help cover the cost of Room and Board
While CMC will take on some of the cost associated with meals all meals will not be covered
Each facilitator will need to raise approximately $1000
