The Light Up A Dream US project will provide partial or full scholarship funds to athletes and families who are going through hardship and can't afford to pay for our programs.

The Light Up A Dream Ghana project provides funds to send young adults through skilled trade programs, as well as cover their rent, transportation and food during this time. This amount will help roughly 25 individuals.

Kick2Build Organization

 is building a bridge between our Kick2Build communities in the U.S and Ghana. By raising funds to provide additional education for young adults in Ghana, you help enroll these individuals into skilled trade programs as a start to a new path in life.

Nana Boakye, the CEO of the Kick2build organization, is a Ghanaian-American who was born and raised in the Southern part of West African Ghana. He spent much of his childhood and teenage years in Kumasi and Accra, Ghana before moving to the United States as an adult. Three years ago, he returned for a pre-season tryout for a professional soccer team in Kumasi-Ghana. During this time, he connected with the youth in the area who he found were determined to be successful but were having a hard time. 

While going on walks in the neighborhood, Nana was surprised to discover that due to lack of opportunity and resources some of the youth in the community were getting caught up in gambling, drinking, and drugs. Others had gotten involved with illegal businesses which could lead to trouble with the law. Still others, hustle working when and where they can to support themselves and their families.

 After connecting with members of the community and hearing their stories, Nana learned that the majority are trying to live better lives, but without financial support, they struggle. Learning a skilled trade provides an opportunity for community members to improve their lives in a self-sustaining way. This is an investment for those wanting more from life.
