Hearts and Hands Food Pantry has proudly served the greater Charlotte, NC metro area since 2017. Our mission is to minister to the body and spirit of those in need. Especially through the Covid-19 pandemic, we have grown exponentially, rising to meet the ever-growing need in our community with so many people furloughed and staying at home. We provide shelf-stable and perishable (think fruits, veggies, milk etc.), personal care supplies, baby needs (formula, diapers and more) and pet supplies.

Hearts and Hands Foundation

 has proudly served the greater Charlotte, NC metro area since 2017. We provide shelf-stable and perishable (think fruits, veggies, milk etc.) groceries, personal care supplies, baby needs including diapers and formula, pet supplies and more.

We are proud to be one of the only fully independent food pantries in all of North Carolina, allowing our services to be easily accessible and low-barrier, no referrals required. We've served 17,000 people just in 2023 alone!

We are currently one of the only pantry in Mecklenburg County that provides our clients with full choice to select the items that they need and want through our custom appointment system on our website. We chose to give those experiencing a crisis the same dignity that we enjoy when we shop for ourselves, rather than just handing them a box of pre-selected items that most often do not allow for unique preferences, diets and health requirements.

Food insecurity is being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. More than 35% of households with children were considered “food insecure” in Mecklenburg County not knowing if food would be available from day to day.​Food insecure homes have a reduced quality and variety of diet, may eat less and eating patterns are disrupted due to lack of money and resources.

Hearts and Hands Food Pantry exists because we believe food is a basic human right. Every single person regardless of circumstances, age, ethnicity, and beliefs needs nutritious food daily. We minister to the body and spirit of those in need.
