Survivors often flee abuse with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Traumatized and fearful, they turn to organizations like Mt. Graham Safe House for refuge.

“I know that anyone who has been in a domestic violence shelter, or anyone who has been in a domestic violence situation, knows that they just want to be able to close the door and breathe, and that is what I did. I just breathed. I was just thankful that we were someplace safe and that nobody could bother us.”

“We offer a lot of different programs, but for us it’s not about a program, it’s about finding out what each victim needs and helping them to get those needs met" 

Crisis hotlines, shelter, transitional programs, pet shelter are all services provided by our program. Mt. Graham Safe House tries to meet the individual needs of each client. It is not a cookie cutter program but instead designed to provide for each individual what they need or make connections to other agencies that can assist with those needs when possible.
