NYC Fundraising Screening Las Abogadas
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $5,000 TO COVER 2 WEEKS OF SALARIES FOR STAFF AT ABBA HOUSE. Since the elimination of USAID, ABBA has lost funding for staff salaries. LARF is committed to replacing that and we need your help!
Broadway Presbyterian Church, 601 W 114th St., New York, NY
More relevant than ever, LAS ABOGADAS: Attorneys on the Front Lines of the Migrant Crisis, an award-winning documentary by Victoria Bruce, follows four immigration attorneys over a multi-year odyssey as the U.S. government under President Trump 1.0 upends every law meant to protect those fleeing from persecution, violence and war. Though the events depicted occurred more than eight years ago, the lessons and inspiration are of the moment.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with featured attorney and Latin American Relief Board Member, Rebecca Eichler.
Tickets are $25USD each
