Shots for Spots
Since 2010, KACF has been traveling to Chitwan National Park, where the village dogs have become a joyful and unforgettable part of every conservation journey.
Recently, our partner Dr. Amir at the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) uncovered a vital connection between these dogs and the park’s wildlife. Endangered leopards are contracting distemper from unvaccinated dogs and dying at a troubling rate.
The solution is simple—vaccinate the dogs.
KACF is joining forces with the Himalayan Animal Rescue Trust (HART) to provide distemper vaccines to local dogs, thereby helping to protect the endangered leopards.
In addition, we’ll offer spay/neuter surgeries and essential medical care to improve the dogs’ general health and manage the population responsibly. Last year you helped us provide 1200 dogs with vaccines, and 200 dogs with spay/neuter surgeries.
For just $30, you can sponsor a dog to receive surgery, full vaccinations, and a healthier life—while helping to save a leopard. Of course, any amount of donation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
