Kitten Season 2026 - $10,000 Challenge Match
Thank you for supporting Cat Rescue and Adoption Network—and for caring about cats and kittens in our community. Because of your generosity we can provide life-saving medical care, food, comfort, and so much more.
In 2025 CRAN cared for more than 600 cats and kittens. Throughout the year CRAN responded to hundreds of requests for help—offering resources to pet owners in need and welcoming in cats and kittens who had nowhere else to go.
Already in 2026 the need continues to grow. From fragile newborn kittens to senior cats whose lives have been suddenly disrupted, CRAN volunteers provide the necessities and a path to a safe and loving home.
Each cat who comes into our care has a story. Some arrive due to illness or the loss of a beloved owner. Others come from families facing financial hardship or unexpected housing changes. Some even face the elements on their own.
Sakura and her kitten, Mochi, were rescued from a parking lot. Soon after, they welcomed an orphaned kitten into their little family.
Suki came to us suffering from severe eye disease and required the removal of both eyes. Today she is healing beautifully and learning to navigate her world, now pain-free. At CRAN they are receiving the love, care, and stability they need while they wait for a new family to call their own.
As spring arrived, so did kitten season—and with it a surge in requests for help. Thanks to our dedicated foster volunteers and supporters like you CRAN can provide safe, nurturing homes for these tiny, vulnerable lives. When they are ready each kitten is vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and placed into a loving forever home.
Every cat and kitten in CRAN’s care receives the medical attention and compassion they deserve. Our volunteers work tirelessly to nurture them until they are ready for adoption.
And yet the cost of care continues to rise. In 2025 medical expenses increased significantly. Thanks to our veterinary partners, our incredible volunteers, and supporters like you, we have been able to keep going—but we cannot do it alone. Today we need your help.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 with this campaign, to ensure we’re ready for the deluge of kittens that are arriving right now. To kick off this campaign generous donors have funded a $10,000 Match Challenge. This means that every dollar you donate by July 15 – up to $10,000 – will be matched. This effectively doubles your gift!
This spring, we ask you to support CRAN’s ongoing mission to care for cats and kittens in the Eugene–Springfield–Lane County area. Your donation—of any amount—makes a direct and meaningful difference in the lives of animals who have nowhere else to turn.
Together, we can continue to give them a second chance. Please donate today and help us meet our July 15 deadline for the $10,000 Challenge Match.
With heartfelt gratitude, Louanne Koch CRAN Volunteer and President CRAN Board of Directors
