Project Dream
By 2030, our region will need 5,000 more skilled workers. Your gift helps create a state-of-the-art center where local teens can explore careers, develop job-ready skills, and gain workforce readiness training that prepares them for success.
At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tar River Region we’re building the next generation of leaders, innovators and problem solvers! Our young people are learning the essential skills like communication and collaboration that can help them in their first job and beyond. The National Guard Armory will be transformed into a Life & Workforce Readiness facility in Rocky Mount, NC, serving teens ages 14 to 18. This facility will provide essential skills training, career guidance, and educational support to help prepare young people for future employment opportunities while also offering recreational activities. Through these programs, teens will strengthen their employability, build confidence, and develop important life skills that support their personal growth while contributing to a stronger, more skilled workforce in our community.
To complete the campus project, the former Rocky Mount Municipal Stadium will also be renovated into a state-of-the-art multisport playing field, creating additional opportunities for youth to stay active, build teamwork skills, and participate in healthy activities.
