FOUNDING MEMBER: Mickey Anderson is currently the Division Vice President for Division 5 at CVS Health with responsibility for over 1,500 stores in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama which includes over 300 stores inside Target Locations. Mickey joined CVS Health in 2014 as a Region Manager in the greater Los Angeles, California area where he led 12 district and 172 store teams from Los Angeles in the South to San Jose in the North. Prior to joining CVS, Mickey spent 20 years at Walmart assuming positions of greater scale and scope. Prior to relocating to Indiana with his wife and three children, Mickey was extremely active in the Los Angeles community, serving as a regional chair for the Arthritis Foundation of Los Angeles, advisory committee for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and as a member of the Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance. Mickey has been a board member of the American Lung Association since 2015. Mickey has been committed to lung health and proud to share that CVS was one of the first pharmacies to take tobacco products off its shelf in September 2014. He served as a leading force behind the CVS team effort in Walk and Climb campaigns in the SoCal markets since 2016, raising over $55k and led the largest Walk teams assembled in the area with over 100+ team members. His region led the country in the CVS In-store Pin Pad Campaign. As a Board member, he has leveraged his leadership in support of lung health for more than 5 years, including being a Founding Father of the I Wear Turquoise Campaign since its inception in 2019 and serving as an Honoree in our most recently Gala, Champions Unite. Mickey is growing in his role of service with the American Lung Association as he will be transitioning to the Region Board in the Mid-West, taking on an even bigger role and responsibility to not only amplify this mission but also add to the already impressive fundraising of over $75,000. This will be his final season with the Southern California I Wear Turquoise Campaign. To end his role here on the West Coast with strength and commitment, Mickey is serving as an Ambassador for the third time and aims to raise more than he ever has. Trusted Champion of Lung Health. Harold Wimmer, CEO of the American Lung Association, was invited to participate in the President’s Vaccine Initiative with other prominent public health organizations. The Surgeon General, who heads the task force, convened key influencers in the public health arena to achieve the President’s goal for 70% of the U.S. adult population to be vaccinated by July 4th.
We have been asked to serve as either an advisor or member of several different task forces headed up by CDC, the President’s Administration, HHS, NIH, or APHA due to the work we have been doing through our COVID 19 Action Initiative.
