Help Newark's Youth Make History - One Slice at a Time.

On September 22nd, 2025 from 5pm-9pm, the young leaders of Newark are aiming to do something big - record-breaking big.

As the grand finale of the Disrupt Leadership Academy - a youth entrepreneurship program powered by Papa Johns in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Newark - a team of ambitious teens will attempt to host the worlds largest pizza party, bringing together 5,000+ community members to break the current Guinness World Record of 3,375 participants.

But this event is about more than pizza.

Led entirely by youth - including two Youth of the Year nominees serving as Project Managers - these teens have been meeting bi-weekly since January, handling every aspect of the event: budgeting, logistics, fundraising, marketing, and partnership building. They're not just learning leadership skills - they're living them.

Thanks to our founding sponsor Disrupt Foods (a local Papa Johns franchise), pizza for thousands is being donated. Support from the Papa Johns Foundation and the City of Newark is helping to scale the event. But to pull off a historic moment like this, community support is essential.
