Step into an enchanting Parisian evening at our 37th Annual Evening of the Stars: A Night in Paris! Dressed in elegant, formal attire, let the charm of the City of Lights set the tone as we honor our remarkable supports and partners - like you - who make it possible to impact over 1,000 young lives each year.

Your unwavering support has allowed the Boys and Girls Club of Newark to provide safe spaces, caring mentors, and transformative programs every day. Together, we inspire the potential in every child, empowering them to explore their talents and achieve their dreams. Whether it's through art, STEM, leadership development, or simply lending a listening ear, your generosity creates the foundation for their success.

When you support the Evening of the Stars, you help provide Newark's youth with the resources they need to thrive. Our goal for 2025 is to raise $600,000.00 to sustain and grow our vital programs. Every tax-deductible gift plays a crucial role in empowering the next generation. A gift of:

$50 provides tutoring services for two days a week.
$155 sponsors a session of swimming lessons.
$15,000 supports registration for 300 members to join our Robotics Club through the STEM Center.
$30,000 provides 10 therapy sessions to 35 youth.

Honoring Outstanding Leaders

At this year's Evening of the Stars, we proudly recognize remarkable individuals and organizations who have gone above and beyond to support our mission:

Cynthia M. Banks Award: Presented to those who selflessly dedicate their time and resources to improving children's lives. This year's honorees are the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, Craig Drinkard, and the Victoria Foundation, whose collective efforts have significantly enhanced opportunities for Newark's youth.
Goodwin, Hammersley, Bushnell Humanitarian Award: Honoring individuals or organizations making a significant community impact through direct engagement. We proudly recognize Cynthia M. Banks for her lasting legacy of commitment and service.
William "Jazz" Jones Award: Celebrating individuals who demonstrate a continued dedication to initiatives that benefit organizations like BGCN. This year, we honor Tom Valen for his steadfast advocacy and support of our mission.
Youth of the Year Award: Highlighting an outstanding Club member who exemplifies resilience, dedication, and excellence.
