Donate to Burke County United Way
The 2021-2022 Burke County United Way Campaign focuses on Self-Sufficiency, Housing, and Childcare: pressing challenges in our community which are deeply interwoven.
Self-Sufficiency
We seek to empower individuals and families to develop plans and goals to move from surviving to thriving through financial wellness programs, small loan programs, and housing/utility deposits.
Housing & Homelessness
Through collaboration with other community organizations, we strive to increase affordable housing in Burke County with the construction of a workforce housing projects, assist in certifying families for eligibility; and negate homelessness by addressing our homeless population's needs together.
Childcare
We desire to cover the cost of before school, afterschool, and summer childcare for low-income, working families whose income is below the poverty level and who pay more than 30% or more of their income towards housing.
