I am proud to be 1 of 100 volunteers giving back by sharing my story with youth in Los Angeles this Giving Tuesday, 11/30/21. In addition to inspiring students in the classroom, my goal is to raise money to help ensure the continued success of PLUS ME.
Our youth need support now more than ever. 70% of teens say that anxiety and depression are problems according to Pew Research Center. PLUS ME is the only program of its kind that works to fill the large social-emotional needs gap through self-reflection and connection. Over 94% of PLUS ME students recommend our workshops to their peers.
PLUS ME Project is a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles that activates the art of personal storytelling to build confidence in youth as they pursue their college, career, and life goals. In addition to bringing volunteer guest speakers into classrooms, they also help students build & share their own personal narratives. Through workshops and curriculum that includes opportunities for self-reflection, self-expression and journaling, PLUS ME helps youth realize they have a story that matters. Older students receive guidance turning their stories into the foundation for their college personal statements and job interviews.
Give now and help build confidence in youth in LA through the power of storytelling.
Since 2013, PLUS ME has impacted over 100,000 students. Your support will help PLUS ME bring self confidence through storytelling to even more students this school year.
