Rade is on a mission to raise $1,000 by the end of this year for Rainbow Labs' 2022 Programming. Help support him and many more LGBTQ+ youth next year!
Help us raise funds for our 2025 Programming which will include:
- Leadership Lab - Our Leadership Lab is a group of 15 youth, ages 13-17, from the LGBTQIA+ community, who convene to build community, learn leadership and problem-solving skills, and advise Rainbow Labs staff and board members on recruitment and program strategy.
- Storytelling Lab - We offer this program in our South (Animo James) and East Los Angeles (Torres) schools as well as during our One Bold Summer program. Youth will be guided through identity and self-exploration workshops while ending with real-world applications to their stories.
- Pathhaking Lab - Launching in February 2025 at Locke High School, we are offering the first ever LGBTQ+ STEM Education class. We'll host LGBTQ+ STEM adults on panels, workshops, and even mentors combining the world of STEM and LGBTQ cultures.
- Gender Expansive Baseball Team - In partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, we’ll host our Gender Expansive Baseball Team in July of 2025 through their Dodgers Dreamteam Program. Our baseball team provides access to all youth, no matter their gender or sexual orientation.
- One Bold Summer 5.0 - Building off four years of our summer programming, we’ll offer our One Bold Summer 5.0 program with four weeks of free mentoring for 50 LGBTQ+ youth mentored by 10 LGBTQ+ adults. Each week will be offer different content from our labs.
- Policy Lab - Working alongside our partners in the San Gabriel Valley (San Gabriel Valley LGBTQ+ Center), we are building a foundation of policy work in the San Gabriel Valley to create safe and supportive spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to express themselves. Our policy work includes activating local San Gabriel Valley residents in uplifting their voices to local policy makers to support safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in the San Gabriel Valley.
Our programs embolden Queer and Gender Nonconforming Youth to discover, curate, and experiment with the elements of a fulfilled life through community building and the lived experiences of mentors. Here are what some of our youth are saying about our programming.
