Support Community Arts Programming - 2026
For over 96 years the United Palace has been known for its concerts, film premieres, and other special events.
What is highlighted less often, but is no less important, is that for 14 years the non-profit United Palace of Cultural Arts has supported local young and emerging artists as well as uptown audiences at the only regularly operating theatre in Washington Heights.
During 2025, which we dubbed The Year of Community, UPCA's programming lived up to its mission to uplift, united, and educate Northern Manhattan and beyond by:
- Producing or presenting 34 events
- Hosting over 3,000 young, emerging, and professional artists
- Welcoming over 12,000 guests
UPCA approaches its mission to uplift, educate, and unite Northern Manhattan, and beyond through three types of programs:
- Community Arts: Providing opportunities for local youth and emerging artists to perform and present in a world-class theatre.
- Dominican and Latin Arts: Producing and presenting professional artists who reflect the culture of our Dominican and Latino neighbors.
- The Crackalackin’ Concert of Classical Music: Curating innovative performances that inspire a wider range of musicians and audiences to discover the genre.
Our 2026 season is underway as we support an incredible collection of local artists and arts organizations such as: Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance,, Literature to Life, and Leadlights Ensemble.
Please help us continue to grow the arts programming offered at the United Palace by making a donation today. Your gift, no matter the size, helps us spotlight the arts in Northern Manhattan.
Make your donation go further by unlocking the Power of Corporate Matching and Double Your Impact. Look for the opportunity to have your gift matched by your employer when you donate.
We will leave you with a highlight from 2025 that is a perfect example of The Year of Community. In September we launched a new addition to the Crackalackin' Concert of Classical Music with a youth orchestra performing a live score to a video created by local filmmakers. Watch the magic in the video below, and please consider donating to help us create next year's unforgettable moments at the United Palace.
