Help Deported Workers and their Families
We need to raise $100,000 in 2025 to meet the coming crisis. This would allow us to house up to 400 people a night and provide food and hot showers.
Trump has vowed to deport millions of migrant workers on Day One of his administration.
The Latin American Relief Fund and ABBA House are prepared to help them on Day One with housing, food, hot showers, legal advice, and medical care. We hope to house, at least temporarily, everyone who shows up at the shelter's door.
But we cannot do it without your help!
This will likely take a sustained effort over the next few years. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of hardworking people could lose their homes, businesses, communities, schools and opportunities for a better life. Many could be returned to home countries they haven’t lived in for twenty or more years. Children, even those who are American citizens, will be forced to return to countries they've never lived in and where they hardly speak the language.
ABBA House and LARF, and the new Deportation Response Team are commited to helping. Together, we are building a new shelter community for migrants in Celaya that will house families, women, and LGBTQ individuals, both temporarily and longterm. The original ABBA House will continue to welcome single men who are in transit.
Your donation today will help us bring the new shelter online faster!
