You Have the Power to Change a Life.
At the United Palace, we believe in the extraordinary power of the stage to uplift lives, educate youth, and unite communities. It's a force that sets the scene for creativity, diversity, and shared experiences. We invite you to be a part of "The Art of Giving," where your gift becomes a spotlight for change.
Exposure to the arts contributes to building well-rounded individuals, broadening understanding, and appreciation of other cultures, supporting social and emotional development, fostering empathy, reducing intolerance, and generating acceptance of others. In the long run, these positive outcomes strengthen community and civic engagement, contributing to a more connected and enriched collective experience.
We achieve our mission through 4 programs: Community Arts: Providing opportunities for local youth and emerging artists to perform and present in a world-class theatre.
Dominican and Latin Arts: Producing and presenting professional artists who reflect the culture of our Dominican and Latino neighbors.
Movies at the Palace: Honoring the theatre's roots as a movie palace and vaudeville house by staging screenings to reinvent the experience of Golden Age cinema and bring movies to life.
The Crackalackin’ Season of Classical Music: Curating innovative performances that inspire a wider range of musicians and audiences to discover the genre.
Showcasing Performances by Remarkable Artists: Discover and celebrate the talent of artists supported by the United Palace. Your gift helps us showcase their incredible performances, giving them a platform to share their stories and vision with the world. From theatrical productions to mesmerizing musical acts to visual arts, these artists are the heart and soul of our community.
Stage-Themed Events and Exhibitions: Throughout the coming year, we have exciting movie screenings, live performances, and exhibitions planned, all designed to celebrate the transformative power of the stage. The year began with the January 21, 2024, debut of "The Chevalier," telling the incredible true story of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges – the 18th-century Black composer, violinist, fencer, abolitionist, and friend of luminaries like Mozart and Marie Antoinette.
