Vicki Bowen Hewes - Vicki Bowen Hewes is known in Columbus as the Founder of the Columbus chapter of Dress for Success, but it was a long journey to the founding of the nonprofit. Vicki describes her childhood as feeling like a square pet in a round hole. She says that she always felt like an outsider without a tribe, and that she didn’t believe that she was special. Despite growing up in a loving home, with parents who believed in her, Vicki had low self-esteem and was bullied mercilessly during middle school.
Anamaria Perales-Lang- As a professional AnaMaria shares her experiences with discrimination as a person of color and developed a passion for helping survivors of domestic abuse, a passion that really started after working on the west side of Columbus. She saw how many immigrant women suffer from domestic violence because, if they disappeared, no one would know. After talking to these women, and hearing about their experiences she became more determined than ever to empower all people, but especially women. She wanted them to know that somebody would notice if they were gone.
Gaylisa Carr- Spent 13 years in prison working to keep other women out of crime. Gaylisa is a compassionate and empathetic individual and a thriving entrepreneur, changing lives one mentorship, one opportunity at a time. She has a heart for the community as well as for incarcerated individuals and their families.
Re-entry candidates seek out her program, which provides mental and emotional support, transition assistance, and career development opportunities. Having utilized some of the programs in place at that time, she saw firsthand the gaps that needed to be filled. This inspired her to use her experience for good and make a way for others where there previously was none.

EnVision Proven Success has a professionally printed magazine that shares the stories of women who have regained their dignity and moved forward in a way they previously thought impossible. Their candor allows readers to understand the challenges women from adverse circumstances face, and that they have achieved great accomplishments and overcome daunting barriers unimagined by most.
Our publication “EnVision Proven Success” is the first and only publication tool that moves to challenge women towards self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs about their work, home, and community. The publication has helped change women's perceptions of what they can achieve and has empowered over 5000 women in our community to accomplish their goals.
We aim to increase community awareness and raise funds to assist women who are economically or socially disadvantaged. We offer comprehensive training and workshops on a vast array of topics and provide free-of-charge workforce readiness and employment retention programs to thousands of women each year. We are reaching out with the idea of forming and joining a coalition to assist unestablished women.
In lieu of not being able to attend, donations are always welcome. EnVision Proven Success is a nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS, and contributions are always appreciated. As a small grassroots, 501 (c) (3) charitable nonprofit organization, we rely largely on the kindness of people like you. Your contributions to EnVision Proven Success will help us provide quality programming and much-needed community tangibles for all women requesting and receiving our comprehensive social support services.
There is no shortage of ways that you can help us reach our goals. Whether you are looking to donate your time, efforts, funds, goods, or services, we have several opportunities indicated on our website for you to do so. We welcome all support.
