It’s been my honor to serve on the board for over 10 years, currently as the immediate past board chair. It’s given me a front row seat to all the fantastic work the dedicated team at Easterseals does for people with disabilities living in our community. I’m amazed at the ever-expanding footprint of the organization across Berks County, the Lehigh Valley and the Pocono region. I’m also impressed with the wide variety of services Easterseals offers from early intervention services for young children to autism diagnostic services that can open the door to services for families with children on the autism spectrum, to individualized physical, occupational and speech therapy services for children of all ages, and job training for young adults. It’s all part of unlocking each person’s fullest potential and supporting their families. Please join me in supporting the vital work of Easterseals Eastern PA. Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania serves more than 3,000 children and adults with disabilities - and their families - throughout the Lehigh Valley, Berks County, the Poconos and surrounding region.
Our innovative and inclusive services include:
- Early intervention
- Make the First Five Count - child development resources
- Outpatient therapy (speech, occupational and physical)
- Specialty medical clinics (neurology, orthopedic and orthotic)
- Therapeutic groups
- Autism diagnostic clinic
- ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy training for parents of children with autism
- LEAP - employment experience for high school students
- Community supports/habilitation - personalized support for young adults and adults
- Summer camp and recreation

Antonio has cerebral palsy, which makes it difficult for him to move his arms and legs, but what everyone notices first about him is his charming smile and laugh. He is simply full of joy and determination. Over the past two years, he has benefitted from a variety of programs at Easterseals, including outpatient therapy, neurology and orthopedic clinics, and the equipment loan program.
