Help Us Build a New Migrant Shelter in Mexico
A generous donor has agreed to match every dollar up to $50,000. Please help us obtain our entire match and help us address the coming migrant catastrophe.
The city of Celaya has donated an acre of land for us to build a new, larger shelter community that will serve up to 200 people—or more if needed. This transformative space will provide:
- An infirmary to meet critical medical needs.
- A rehab gym for amputees to rebuild strength.
- Educational and job training programs to empower futures.
- Safe, inclusive housing for migrant amputees, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
We plan to break ground this summer if we can reach $100,000. Your support will help us reach our goal so we can break ground on this center by summer of 2025. But we cannot do this alone.
A generous donor is offering a match up to $50,000 for all gifts received in 2025. Your gift can go TWICE AS FAR when you make your gift TODAY!
A gift of $250 = $500. This will provide a week of backhoe labor to clear the land, helping us complete this project sooner so more than 200 migrants can have transitional housing and support through these uncertain times.
Your support TODAY could mean the difference between survival and transformation for thousands of people. Join us today and be part of this life-changing journey.
Since 2018, the Latin American Relief Fund has raised over $250,000 to support ABBA House, a vital migrant shelter in Celaya, Mexico. Thanks to our generous donors, ABBA House has provided food, shelter, clothing, and critical medical and legal services to more than 150,000 immigrants and refugees from around the globe. We’ve also helped over 65 amputees receive life-changing medical attention, prostheses, and rehabilitation services. But now, with more than 34 long-term residents, the original shelter is running out of space.
