I serve on the Board of Directors of Columbia Housing Center because I care deeply about our community. Howard County is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live—but that didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of James Rouse’s vision for Columbia as “a city in a garden,” intentionally designed to be open and welcoming to people of all races, incomes, and backgrounds. Today, that vision requires active effort to sustain. Columbia Housing Center is working every day to keep our community inclusive, integrated, and accessible to all—but they can’t do it alone. This Fair Housing Month, I’m proud to support our work. Please join me—every gift helps keep Columbia open to all.
As national commitments to fair housing shift, Columbia Housing Center is working harder than ever to ensure our community remains inclusive, integrated, and accessible to people of all races, incomes, and backgrounds.
Your support makes it possible for us to:
• Educate residents and housing providers on fair housing rights • Sustain integrated neighborhoods across Columbia • Advocate for housing equity and affordability • Ensure every family has real choices about where they live
This work is urgent—and it depends on you.
Every gift helps protect what makes Columbia special and ensures that James Rouse’s vision of an open, inclusive community continues to thrive.
