Reaching our first goal of $10,000 will help us bring a transformational and sustainable surf therapy program to children with special needs in Baja, Mexico.

Building Confidence, One Wave at a Time

While many of our events are hosted near our home break in Southern California, Mighty Under Dogs (MUD) works to break barriers to access so that underserved communities can share in the joys of surfing and the healing benefits of surf therapy.

All year long MUD has an action packed intinerary to bring the healing powers of the ocean through adaptive surfing to all children across the nation and the world.

Sharing our impact with the Baja, Mexico Community

During the month of October, we are thrilled to be returning to Baja, Mexico to host three surf therapy events for over 300 local children.

With events scheduled on October 23rd at Cerritos Beach in Pescadero, October 24th at Pescadito Beach in Cabo and October 30th at 1st Point in San Juanico, there will be no shortage of surf therapy and smiles. After postponing 2020 events due to the pandemic, these events are long overdue and we believe the children (and adults alike) need surf therapy now more than ever.

We believe that every day ordinary people can have extraordinary impact for those in need. Bringing the love of the ocean through adaptive surfing truly makes an impact. There is nothing better than watching a child light up when we get to take them surfing.

Being a part of the magical transformation these children experience is something we cherish deeply and watching their confidence build wave after wave is truly something to see.

Sharing the Stoke with Those Who Need it Most

With the help of local sponsors including Todos Santos Surf Shop, Mario Surf School, High Tide Los Cabos, Hotel San Cristobal, Baja Surf Casitas, TSS Transportation and Expore Baja we are able to provide surf therapy to those who need it most. MUD is so grateful to work with all of our partners and local organizations to make a difference in the lives of children and their surrounding communities.

In Rosarito, MUD partners with Locales Surf Shop and Rosarito Beach hotel to create a sustainable surf therapy program to enrich individuals from the area such as Catherine's Kids orphanage for children with special needs, the Rosarito Boys and Girls Club, and Baja Sin Limites.

MUD has also partnered with the Los Cabos Children's Foundation to bring surf therapy to hundreds of children affiliated with several different programs throughout Baja California Sur.
