First Grace Community Alliance

The mission of First Grace Community Alliance (FGCA) is to work with and for people in need, especially women and their children, by meeting food, housing and other emergency needs, while simultaneously challenging systemic poverty in the greater New Orleans area through our two programs: 

- a sanctuary for women, children, and transgender/gender-nonconforming people in New Orleans that provides an open and empowering residential community, resource coordination and a safe space to transition into permanent housing.

$10 gets a family to and from an appointment on the bus

$250 covers a free immigration legal consult and resources for a family

$1,000 keeps Hagar's House a safe and warm place for mothers and children by providing a month of rent and electricity

$2,500 provides pro bono legal representation for a year for 2-3 siblings with immigration cases
