Joey Lovedall | Cyclist
Help Joey reach his $8,000 fundraising goal in honor of his mother to further the mission of Alzheimer's research, education, support and care
Joey Lovedall is a cyclist based out of Lakeside, California.
In 2016, his mom began showing some signs of Alzheimer’s and that October she was diagnosed with Dementia with a pattern of Alzheimer’s. For the next two years, Joey provided care of her.
Like most people he thought he was alone. Joey would help his mom get ready for the day and do life’s normal day-to-day routine (grocery shop, chores, gym, hair salon). After two years, she progressed more and became too overwhelming for her to go out. Joey found Glenner Town Square, a senior day center and with the help of Mr. Tarde at Glenner Town Square, he saw that he was not alone in this. There is a huge community that provides help, support and creative thinkers who think out of the box to help navigate though the good and bad times.
Joey also works with Alzheimer’s patients in crisis and their family members. He has taught classes on the “Take Me Home Program” to law enforcement and caregivers which gives law enforcement more information faster to assist with finding a lost and wandering person.
Joey joins the team as an Ambassador and cyclist.
