Help Us Build a Safe Place to Learn and Grow in Haiti
Help us reach $1,000 before the end of this school term!
Fifty percent of children in Haiti do not attend school, and an estimated 30% of children who attend primary school will not make it to 3rd grade; 60% will not make it to 6th grade.
Why? Because there are very few public schools in Haiti.
About 90% of schools in Haiti are privately run and most charge tuition. Sending a child to one of these schools is financially impossible for families living in poverty. Two-thirds of Haitians live on less than $2.00 U.S. per day, and nearly 25% of the country's population lives in extreme poverty, getting by on less than $1.25 U.S. per day.
The Haiti Education and Development Corporation (HEADCorp) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is working to help support education for children in Haiti. We are dedicated to advancing education and the development of local communities in Haiti with sustainable economic programs.
Working closely with The Reverend Guilene Fiefie, Priest in Charge at St. Luc, we raise the funds necessary to provide food, uniforms, educational materials and professional teacher salaries for an entire school year. We also provide the means for clean water and sanitation. Our goal for the future? To build a "real" school for these beautiful children! Please join us and be a part of bringing education and opportunity to these children. Be a part of THEIR future!
- School Lunches for every child for one school year
- School supplies, text books, backpacks and uniforms for each child
- Water & Hygiene for the school

It's a big undertaking, but we are working toward building a permanent school for the children of Thomassique. Watch for our Capital Campaign to begin soon!
