I’m Josie and this is my first year in the Dance Jam! The other Jam members and I have been working so hard and are so excited to share our work with you during our home season! Intertwined will take place on April 13th and 14th, and we would love to see you there! Donating to our show helps make this amazing performance opportunity a reality for young dancers. Under the leadership of School Director Kimi Okada and Dance Jam Associate Director Dexandro Montalvo, the ODC teen contemporary dance company performs work by the choreographers of the professional company, ODC/Dance, as well as renowned guest choreographers. Members of the Dance Jam are challenged with the creation of new works and the complexities of training in multiple dance techniques through a 5-day per week training schedule. With mentorship from ODC staff, the Dance Jam produces all aspects of their annual home season in Studio B, richly expanding their skill sets and understanding of work both on and offstage within a professional setting.

As part of their home season performances, the Dance Jam will perform a full program of works repertory pieces from Mia J. Chong (Dance Jam and ODC/Dance Company alum); a new work from current ODC/Dance Company member Brandon "Private" Freeman; and a new work from Dance Jam Associate Director Dexandro Montalvo to be performed by the Dance Jam and the ODC/Dance company.
