Tips for creating high-converting fundraising pages:
“…This non-profit foundation connects adopted foster care children with their biological families, ensuring any these children grow up with an online mapping “family tree” to review, remember, and revise. Being adopted myself, it's very difficult to learn my biological roots so here is where the idea originated from. This pinnacle moment made me realize the shortcoming I have to this day, with my biological mother not knowing who my biological father could be. The problem’s presented was potential incest and getting into physical altercations with lineages of various “branches” of my biological family tree. Being adopted by parents outside of my race [my mother being Irish, my father being German] added a more difficult layer of complexity that never wa an issue in our household but was a sickened obsession with those outside of it. This was the subject of ridicule and constant physical altercations for more years and is still mentioned in present day by people with little going for them. With a growing amount of minority children being adopted by Caucasian parental figures, I especially want to ease the burden they may experience reminiscent to my own struggles. Often as an adopted child, I wondered where I received certain hereditary traits and why I was the way I was. Many cultural and hereditary aspects I had to learn along the way through trial and error and/or assumption. How to take care of my skin and how easy my biological family is prone to scar if not treated right, as well as specific hair product that help and hurt my biological relatives, to which I later learned through them sharing with me what they learned but, by this time, I was 30 years old. Other aspects include hereditary allergies like asthma, hereditary shortcomings like my speech impediment, and illnesses like the Glaucoma I was diagnosed with at 16 years old. This app provides the necessary “shovel” for adopted children to “dig up” to discovering the roots that lay hidden in the dirt. By creating a website and mobile app, children can have the option to learn about their roots through parental guidance of their parents (adoptive). Similar to Facebook and LinkedIn, the children's biological parents and family can create online personal accounts with the aim of uploading pictures, videos, and other personal and family-related information as time goes by, helping the child learn with time if his/her parents (adoptive) allow this interaction. Currently conducting theoretical R&D work on genome hereditary options and germline engineering to improve the adoption process, cognitive testing, and prospective adoptive parent matching metrics. Further, Alex Smirnov of Cybertone, Inc. in Manhattan, NY challenged me to discover a way how this app can function on a broader macro-scale. We plan to gear this app to not only functions a family tree for adopted children, but also as a way for anyone to remember, retrieve, and revise their family tree structure in the app. This serves as a perfect way to brief yourself before you attend that family party with distant cousins and relatives, interactive with anyone in your family who choose to create a profile and update information about themselves to share with you and anyone else connected to them…"
