Earthquake Rebuild - two more to go!
Our goal is to be Christ's light in darkness. Help us shine unto others by rebuilding homes of Accolade program families. 100% of your donation goes directly to Haiti.
Dackson was orphaned at a very young age. His aunt devotes her life to him and others - raising neices, nephews, helping with grandchildren and neighborhood kids. She works from her home selling goods to make not even enough money to get by. No running water, a not-so nearby outhouse for a toilet, and now crumbling walls and non-existent and leaky roof combined. This woman prays over me every time I am with her. Her faith, in a life much more challenging than mine, inspires me to be a more grateful and giving person. Dackson remains in the Accolade program, attending traditional school and volunteering when Accolade reaches into the community.
Wenley's mother is a survivor. She is raising 5 children of her own. Several years ago she endured a broken back in a car accident and spent no idle time waiting for anyone else to take care of her. Her eldest children met her physical needs, her faith saw her through and as soon as she was able to stand again she was selling her goods to support her family. Her children have adopted her work ethic, dedicate their time and efforts to school when tuition funds are available. Wenley excels in traditional school and is also attending trade school to be an auto mechanic. He is a role model for the younger boys in the Accolade program.
We need your help to put these two families under a protective roof and behind safe walls. They own their land and are able to rebuild with our assistance. As always, Haitian labor and supplies will be utilized with our commitment to pour into Haitian economy.
