Ukrainian Direct Supply Chain
Our immediate goal is to provide 3 weeks of food and medical supplies for a group of at least a dozen Ukrainians during their time of extreme need. More will be done if our goal is exceeded.
Her name is Natalia, she is an International Attorney that lives in Kyiv, Ukraine and has two kids -- 25 yr old son Eugene and 23 year old daughter Alex. Though not trained to fight, Eugene is now fighting in the Ukrainian Army. Natalia is staying in an apartment in Kyiv – possibly this building has not been hit because it is not as high a building as others in the vicinity. Natalia's mother is in poor health in an overcrowded hospital where she has not been able to visit in weeks. Please pray for their entire family’s safety!
The Immediate Past President of the Big Chicken Chorus, John "Sandy Sanders, met Natalia sever years ago during a business visit. They have each joined a semi-private communication site and are still in contact via this Internet website.
Recently, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Natalia had run out of food. Sandy was able to provide for a “Food Kit” that includes about 3 weeks of food (see photo above) via the Internet Membership site they have been using to stay in contact. Amazingly, the food was delivered about 4-5 days later right to her apartment. The receipt of his donation was a photo of Natalia with the many bags that were delivered. Sandy will soon purchase a “First Aid Kit” that will contain needed medicine and supplies, via the same Internet site.
Given the direct support channel this service provides, the Big Chicken Chorus has undertaken a project to provide more food and supplies to Natalia and her friends via contributions from our members. Those still living in the apartment building along with Natalia include young children.
Knowing that many Americans want to provide support for the valiant Ukrainian people during their time of need, we have decided to include a channel for our friends and patrons to join us in our outreach of support.
We hope that you will consider providing a monetary gift, in any amount, that will go directly to providing food and medical supplies for Natalia and her friends. The "Food Kit," mentioned above is provided at a little more than $320 and the "First Aid Kit" is about $160. With your help, we hope to provide a supply chain of food and first aid supplies to those Ukrainians who are in support of the effort to remain an independent nation.
Thanks in advance for your prayers and contributions.
